## Female nasal contour — test19

The female model receives a localized smooth anterior-depth compression around the nose, applied consistently to the existing skin, nasal cartilage/bones and adjoining tissue. Its maximum displacement is 6.60 mm (skin 6.09 mm). X/Y, vertex/index counts, source metadata and concept IDs are retained. Normals use the inverse-transpose deformation Jacobian; the depth derivative remains positive. Original chunks are preserved and no new third-party asset is added. This is a user-requested presentation contour, not a claim of a universal female nose shape or clinical validation. See `audit/female-nose-refinement.json`.

## Directional lung registration — test17

Supersedes the test15 height-only shrink and test16 front-only expansion. Original attributed lung, pleural and native airway meshes share a smooth positive radial scale field indexed by height and direction. Local chest restrictions no longer shrink every direction at the same height. Basal diaphragm clearance and a reduced cardiac margin retain fuller lungs without changing the heart or thoracic skeleton. Long pleural and lobe edges are subdivided for interpolation; native airway connectivity and source identities remain unchanged. No new external assets are added. See `audit/lung-volume-fit.json` for sampled checks and limitations; this is an educational registration, not patient-specific validation.

## Anterior lung expansion — test16

Only anterior lung and pleural coordinates are expanded toward the inner chest wall from the test15 registration. A shared smooth displacement field changes positive Z only; posterior and basal vertices, all X/Y coordinates, native airways and other anatomy are preserved. Maximum forward displacement is 7.36 mm in model coordinates, limited by sampled chest-wall and cardiac clearance. This is an additional educational modification of the attributed meshes below; no new external assets are used. See `audit/lung-front-expansion.json`.

## Thoracic assembly registration — 27 September 2026

The restored lung, pleural and native airway meshes are registered together to the inner chest-wall envelope using a smooth positive transverse scale by height. Their vertical placement is retained except for basal diaphragm clearance; the medial surfaces receive cardiac clearance using a conservative convex envelope. Lung tissue and generated parietal pleura are subdivided for fitting, while native airway topology is retained. Source identities and attribution are retained. This replaces the temporary 4 mm posterior display offset and does not use the previously reconstructed bronchial trees. It is an educational geometric registration, not patient-specific anatomical validation. Checks and limitations are recorded in `audit/thoracic-assembly-fit.json`.

## Original respiratory geometry restored — 27 September 2026

At the user's request, both body models again use the pre-lung-fit snapshot for five lobes, four pleural meshes and 100 bronchial parts per model. Original source metadata and exact geometry bytes are restored; reconstructed bronchial trees are no longer active. The following reconstruction entry is historical. The separate original procedural magnified alveolar unit remains available and retains its references below. See `audit/respiratory-restoration.json`.

## Reconstructed bronchial trees and magnified alveolar unit — 27 September 2026

Human Atlas replaces the deformed bronchial meshes in both body models with original code-generated, smoothly tapered circular tubes: 45 left and 53 right named branch parts, plus two main/lobar trunk parts per model. Existing BodyParts3D identifiers and nomenclature are retained; the source lung landmarks and HRA-derived lobe geometry guide placement. Existing source notices below remain applicable. The rejected cross-sectional deformation is superseded by `scripts/rebuild-bronchial-trees.mjs`.

The separate magnified respiratory study view is original procedural geometry showing a bronchiole, alveolar ducts, ten representative hollow alveoli, an arteriole, a capillary network and a venule. It is an educational schematic, not donor-specific anatomy, a histological scan or a complete alveolar count. Anatomical references: [NHLBI respiratory system](https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/lungs/respiratory-system) and [SEER bronchi](https://training.seer.cancer.gov/anatomy/respiratory/passages/bronchi.html). No reference illustration pixels or third-party illustration assets are incorporated.

## Angled fimbrial cuff revision — 27 September 2026

The original generated study meshes now orient the ovarian poles toward the infundibula. Broad, thin fimbrial folds curve around the superior/lateral ovarian surface, with longer lateral folds and an open tubal ostium. Supporting folds and ligament attachments follow the revised landmarks. These code-generated shapes refine the study assembly only; no supplied reference-image pixels are incorporated. Source attribution and anatomical references remain as recorded below.

## Ovarian fimbria and ectocervix revision — 27 September 2026

The reconstructed study assembly now includes local ovarian-fimbria contact with the ovary, while leaving the tubal ostium open. The ectocervix projects into the surrounding vaginal wall with a visible fornix recess and patent cervical os. This supersedes the earlier uniform 1.5 mm fringe-gap rule and single-profile cervicovaginal junction. These remain educational shapes; stored body geometry is unchanged. No reference image pixels are included in the generated meshes.

## Fully reconstructed reproductive study assembly — web preview, 27 September 2026

Supersedes the mixed native/procedural study layouts recorded below. Human Atlas now constructs all 28 displayed components of the isolated reproductive assembly. Ovaries are volumetric almond-shaped meshes; uterine tubes share a continuous spatial centerline, circular cross-sections, a hollow lumen, funnel and fimbriae. Supporting folds follow the new landmarks. The central tract has a smoother profile and matching normals across named pieces. No donor mesh is depth-compressed or warped in this view. These generated study meshes do not replace the source HRA geometry in the whole body. Names and identifiers retain HRA reference attribution; the new shapes are educational reconstructions, not donor-specific segmentations or clinically validated patient anatomy. OpenStax is an anatomical reference, not a source of copied image assets. See `app/reproductive-section.ts` and the revision record in `ORGAN-SECTION.th.md`.

## Reproductive cavity and connections — web preview, 27 September 2026

The isolated assembly now includes 28 HRA-named components, adding paired mesosalpinx and mesovarium. Native tube/ovary meshes are rearranged for a frontal study view, keeping the fimbrial end open near the ovary. Human Atlas constructs a continuous hollow uterus–cervix–vagina study shell, its colored inner lining surface, ovarian ligament paths and supporting folds. This supersedes the earlier native-only central-wall presentation below. The cavity opening is enlarged for visibility; it is not donor-specific histology, a menstrual-cycle stage or a patient scan. Source HRA meshes and in-body coordinates remain unchanged. HRA reference attribution and CC BY 4.0 notices remain applicable.

Anatomical reference: [OpenStax, Anatomy and Physiology, female reproductive system](https://openstax.org/books/anatomy-and-physiology/pages/27-2-anatomy-and-physiology-of-the-female-reproductive-system). New geometry is generated by Human Atlas; no reference illustration is incorporated as an asset.

## Frontal female reproductive study view — web preview, 27 September 2026

The isolated reproductive view now contains 24 existing HRA structures: uterine/cervical tissues and openings, vagina/cervicovaginal junction, bilateral uterine tubes, ovaries and ovarian ligaments. Temporary geometry copies lift the flexed uterine body, unfold the adnexa and straighten depth along the central tract for a frontal educational layout. Full-organ and cutaway displays share that layout. The stored HRA geometry and in-body coordinates are unchanged; the isolated arrangement is not an in-situ or patient-specific reconstruction. No follicles, endometrium or new tissue layers are generated. Existing HRA CC BY 4.0 attribution is retained. See app/reproductive-section.ts, ORGAN-SECTION.th.md and audit/reproductive-presentation-validation.json.

## Hollow-organ cutaways — web preview, 27 September 2026

The stomach, urinary bladder, small-intestinal segments, ascending/transverse/descending colon, rectum and ileocecal junction receive temporary inward-offset tissue shells in cutaway mode. These display adaptations follow the existing BodyParts3D outer surfaces and retain their CC BY 4.0 attribution below. The outer vertices and stored source assets remain unchanged. Offset thickness is an inferred presentation setting, reduced in narrow regions; it is not a measured tissue layer or a segmented mucosal surface. No rugae, villi, histological layers or bladder trigone are added.

The female uterus cutaway uses ten existing HRA structures without adding or reshaping anatomy and retains the HRA attribution below. The previously modeled sigmoid-colon inner wall is reused unchanged. Section colors and clipping are display adaptations. See ORGAN-SECTION.th.md, app/section-wall.ts and audit/hollow-section-validation.json for scope and validation limits.

## External ear separation — web preview, 27 September 2026

The existing BodyParts3D external-ear mesh (FJ2811) is separated into left and right auricles in both active anatomy sets. Each side has its own binary asset and selection ID. Source vertex positions, normals, triangle winding and source attribution are preserved; no anatomy is added or reshaped by this split. Both parts retain sourcePartId FJ2811 and the existing BodyParts3D attribution below. The female files retain the previously adapted female-view coordinates.

## Current Windows edition 1.26

The active female view replaces HRA skin with adapted BodyParts3D skin (FJ2810, CC BY 4.0), renders it at 10% opacity, and applies a shared slimmer presentation contour to all female-view tissues. External male genital skin is removed and closed with neutral presentation patches; chest skin is fitted to the retained HRA breast tissues. These changes do not supply an anatomical female vulva. The 66 retained HRA female structures and 52 Z-Anatomy facial muscles retain their original licenses and attribution, including ShareAlike on adapted facial geometry. All source mesh IDs and modifications are recorded in models/female-slim-report.json and FEMALE-MODEL-NOTES.md.

## Windows edition 1.25 (previous)

52 Z-Anatomy facial, scalp and chewing muscles are added to both viewers. One positive uniform scale and translation matches 12 corresponding skull bones; the female additions then follow the existing donor transform and contour. Original meshes, eyes and neck muscles are preserved without duplicates. Facial adaptations are CC BY-SA 4.0. See FACE-MODEL-CREDITS.md, FACE-MODEL-UPSTREAM-NOTICE.txt and models/facial-muscles-report.json for source identifiers, licensing and the reproducible fit.

## Windows edition 1.24 (previous)

Female breast fat (including nipples and areolae) and mammary interiors (lobes, ducts and sinuses) now have independent display-layer switches beside Muscles. All enables both; muscle-only no longer forces either layer on. These replace the 1.23 isolation shortcut. Source classifications, geometry and anatomical alignment are unchanged.

## Windows edition 1.23 (previous)

A female-view shortcut isolates the existing left/right mammary lobes, ducts and sinuses (six HRA meshes) for rotation and zoom. Isolated glands retain yellow and cream display colors. A return action restores surrounding anatomy. Geometry and source classifications are unchanged.

## Windows edition 1.22 (previous)

Display-only adjustment: breast fat opacity increases from 30% to 50% when mammary interiors are visible, making the breast outline clearer. Yellow lobes and cream ducts remain visible through the fat layer. Geometry and visibility logic are unchanged.

## Windows edition 1.21 (previous)

Display-only color adjustment: mammary lobes now use yellow (#f2cf38). Breast fat uses 30% opacity (70% transparency) when gland interiors are visible. Ducts remain cream. Model coordinates, contour, source classification and visibility are unchanged.

## Windows edition 1.20 (previous)

Display-only update: six existing HRA meshes (left/right mammary lobes, main lactiferous ducts and lactiferous sinuses) join the eight existing breast companions in the female muscle view. All also includes them while muscles are enabled. Breast fat keeps the muscle color but uses 28% opacity when mammary interiors are visible; isolated fat remains opaque. Mammary lobes are gold and ducts/sinuses cream for display contrast. Transparent fat does not block picking of the interior. Search reveals selected breast anatomy by hiding the full skin. Body view still shows the skin envelope. No geometry or anatomical classification changes; all 1.19 contour and 1.18 pelvic alignment corrections remain.

## Windows edition 1.19 (previous)

A shared smooth spatial deformation adds a subtle waist taper, hip flare and shoulder narrowing to the female-view assembly. Peak horizontal changes are approximately -10%, +9% and -3.5%, with a small matching depth adjustment and smooth transitions away from the torso. The field is applied to all female-view meshes, including skin, mammary structures, male-derived internal structures and the aligned female reproductive group. Heights and triangle topology remain unchanged. Normals use the inverse-transpose deformation Jacobian; the spatial map is locally invertible. The original male collection is unchanged. This is an artistic presentation adjustment, not a validated reconstruction of female skeletal or organ anatomy. Exact parameters and transformations are documented in models/male-internals-report.json and scripts/female-contour.mjs.

## Windows edition 1.18 (previous)

The retained female reproductive group in 1.17 remained at the original female height, with the vaginal canal extending below the donor pelvic floor. In 1.18, all 38 reproductive meshes, four uterine vessels and eight pregnancy reference meshes share one rigid translation: match the lower vaginal bound to the lowest donor pubococcygeus bound and the lateral sacrum center, with depth unchanged. The fit preserves dimensions, orientation, topology, normals and inter-part geometry. Female skin/mammary meshes and the male assembly are unchanged. This is an approximate visual alignment; see models/male-internals-report.json for the exact translation.

## Windows edition 1.17 (previous)

The active female collection contains 67 HRA meshes (skin/mammary 17, reproductive 38, uterine vessels 4, pregnancy 8) and 2,204 BodyParts3D male internal meshes. Female internal duplicates are omitted. Male skin, reproductive anatomy, genital-specific vessels and male urethra are excluded. The source has no female urethra replacement. The pregnancy reference remains hidden by default.

All male internal meshes use one common positive uniform scale and translation based on female skin height and skin-bounds alignment. Normals, topology and male inter-part relationships are preserved. The retained female vertices are unchanged. Eight hepatic tissue segments are classified as digestive. Breast fat now shares the muscle display color; nipples/areolae keep their previous color. The optional supplement toggle is removed. This remains an approximate mixed-donor assembly; male anatomy is not converted into female-specific anatomy. See models/male-internals-report.json, scripts/use-male-internals.mjs and FEMALE-MODEL-NOTES.md. Both datasets retain the CC BY 4.0 credits below.

## Windows edition 1.16 (previous)

The female muscle layer now also displays the eight existing HRA breast companion meshes: left/right adipose tissue, nipples, areolae and areolar tubercles. These retain their integumentary classification; no mesh coordinates or anatomy files are changed. Companion pieces hide under the complete Body view skin, and remain individually searchable and isolatable. Display colors distinguish fat from nipple/areolar tissue.

## Windows edition 1.15 (previous)

The complete BodyParts3D Digestive layer (97 Digestive meshes plus eight liver tissue segments (105 meshes total)) replaces the prior mixed female digestive layer. All 105 meshes share one uniform scale and translation fitted to female liver and rectum reference centers; indices and source normals are preserved. No per-part fitting or vertex warping is used. Female exterior, eyes, pelvis and reproductive anatomy and other retained structures are unchanged from 1.14. Digestive remains male-derived even when other optional male structures are disabled.

Active collection: 827 HRA female meshes + 105 male digestive meshes + 1,455 optional male reference meshes (2,387 total; 932 with optional structures off). See models/male-digestive-report.json and scripts/use-male-digestive.mjs. Geometry retains the CC BY 4.0 attribution below. Alignment is approximate. Earlier edition notes are historical.

## Windows edition 1.14 (previous)

This repair returns to the Windows 1.12 HRA v1.5 female collection and its BodyParts3D supplement. The 888 native female meshes and all retained binary geometry are unchanged. Sixty-two conflicting donor entries were omitted from the eye/bowel assemblies and their supporting structures, leaving 1,463 optional male reference additions and 2,351 total parts. No new body deformation or cutaway is applied. Source names and licenses remain intact.

See models/female-112-repair-report.json for each omitted part and scripts/repair-female-112.mjs for the reproducible repair. The v1.10 / Visible Human Female files used in 1.13 remain legacy assets and are not active in this edition.

## Female anatomy

Female reference anatomy: Kristen Browne and Heidi Schlehlein, Human Reference Atlas / HuBMAP, *3D Reference Organ Set for Female v1.5* (2023). CC BY 4.0. Geometry adapted for this viewer.

Adaptations: translated native meter/Y-up coordinates onto the stage, coincident vertices welded and source normals averaged, geometry simplified with a 0.2% per-structure relative error bound, and normals quantized. Colors and display systems are curated for this interface. All 888 source meshes are represented, with 1,073 source nodes available as selectable individual or compound concepts.

This is a reference assembly with whole-body surface and selected organs, including female reproductive anatomy. Its skeleton and muscle coverage is partial. It is not a complete model of every human structure or a single-person scan. Eight placenta/umbilical structures are classified under Pregnancy reference and hidden by default.

## Female composite in Windows edition 1.12

The Body view renders the original complete HRA female skin alone, with an opaque nonmetallic material. Mammary fat, glands and ducts are omitted from this exterior view because the skin already includes the breast silhouette. They remain available for anatomical inspection. The experimental arm deformation from edition 1.11 is no longer applied. This is a rendering adaptation of the credited HRA model, not a newly created body mesh.

The original 888-mesh HRA female collection is retained, including its whole body surface and female reproductive anatomy. The supplement adds 1,525 labeled BodyParts3D male reference meshes for shared structures. Male reproductive and body-surface meshes are excluded. Matching mesh names/ontology identifiers and explicit whole-organ assembly mappings suppress covered male geometry.

Donor positions are approximately warped using paired skeleton landmarks and skin-envelope widths. Normals and bounding boxes are recomputed; source names, identifiers and source licenses are retained. This visual alignment is not an anatomically validated registration, does not convert donor anatomy into female anatomy, and does not establish complete anatomical coverage. Parts absent from both datasets cannot be supplied.

Donors are labeled in search and inspection. Turning off Male-source additions restores the original female reference. `models/female-supplement-report.json` records every male mesh's inclusion/exclusion reason and the alignment landmarks. Reproduce the adaptation with `scripts/build-female-supplement.mjs`.

## Lung body/study presentation (test25)

The existing body airway geometry is compacted per lung, preserving IDs and triangle topology, with a smooth tracheal-root transition. The cutaway view uses separately bundled pre-fit lobe/airway geometry from the same attributed anatomy sources. This presentation change does not change the underlying source credits or licenses.

Study lung airway display modification (test26): existing source bronchial meshes are uniformly scaled and translated as one assembly per lung to fit a closed convex contour of the unchanged source lung lobes. Branch topology, source normals and anatomical identifiers are retained. Both lung tissue and airways follow the same cut plane; the lobe cut surface is translucent for inspection. Body-view geometry is unchanged. This contour bridges open source mesh borders and lobe fissures for display fitting; it is not a clinical tissue segmentation.
