# Organ coverage additions — 27 September 2026

This supplement adds 89 selectable structures to the active male assembly and 96 to the active female assembly, and subdivides the existing common hepatic/bile duct mesh. Source data, constructed anatomy and display-system corrections are recorded separately below.

Included source meshes: twenty bronchopulmonary parenchymal segments merged into five lobes; sigmoid colon; renal cortex, medullary pyramids, calyces and pelvis. Exact source mesh IDs accompany each output part and the supplement report.

Adaptations: each lung uses a common per-lung bounds registration to the active intrapulmonary bronchial trees, with local displacement of intersecting vertices outside heart walls and above the diaphragm. Visceral pleural display surfaces follow the lobe meshes; the parietal pleural display surface is constructed from their outer radial envelope. These are approximate membrane envelopes, not segmented pleural tissue. The sigmoid uses source end-ring centers aligned to the active colon/rectum. Kidney interiors are fitted to the active kidney envelopes. Normals are recomputed and quantized; geometry is packed into compressed offline chunks. These HRA-derived adaptations retain CC BY 4.0.

Revision test11: the registered lungs are additionally fitted inside the active BodyParts3D-derived chest wall. A positive transverse scale varies smoothly with height and is shared across every lobe of each lung, followed by the existing heart and diaphragm clearance. Pleural envelopes follow the corrected tissues. The skin, muscles and ribs are not enlarged. This is a display adaptation, not a new donor segmentation.

The per-organ HRA female lung v1.4 GLB was also downloaded for source inspection, but its geometry is not packaged by this supplement. The packaged parenchyma comes from the existing v1.10 whole-body catalogue listed above.

The native common hepatic duct mesh FJ3079 extends below the cystic-duct junction. Its triangles are split at that junction into the retained proximal part and a separately selectable common bile duct; a second donor duct is not superimposed on the same geometry. The split is a display segmentation and should not be read as a new specimen reconstruction.

Pericardial and cranial meningeal display envelopes are constructed from the existing BodyParts3D heart/cortical surfaces. The dura and arachnoid envelopes simplify fine folds, cisterns and reflections; pia follows the existing segmented cortical surfaces. They are derived display approximations, not separately segmented donor membranes. Adapted derivatives retain CC BY 4.0. Native source identities remain recorded.

## Original constructed geometry

Human Atlas constructed educational geometry, 2026, CC BY 4.0: auditory ossicles, cochlear spiral, vestibular structures and auditory tubes; salivary ducts; AV chordal arrangements and cardiac conduction paths; abdominal and spinal membrane display surfaces; additional tonsils, representative lymph-node groups and collecting trunks; male accessory glands/ducts and female external reproductive structures. These are reproducible procedural representations built for this assembly. They do not add every small branch, microscopic tissue layer or individual lymph node.

No non-commercial inner-ear or kidney geometry from the Z-Anatomy export was copied into this supplement. Existing facial-muscle adaptations keep their separate CC BY-SA 4.0 attribution in FACE-MODEL-CREDITS.md. None of the pre-existing source-license obligations are changed.

The anatomical summaries in the app are newly written Thai and English text, not copied source definition text. Source references inform anatomical identity and relationships; they do not validate the generated placements.

Reproduction: `scripts/build-coverage-supplement.mjs`, `scripts/coverage-geometry.mjs`. Mesh inventory and fitting records: `models/coverage-supplement-report.json`. Geometry/reference/layer tests and sampled lung containment: `audit/coverage-validation.json`. Independent source snapshots used for deterministic rebuilds are retained in the project workspace under `.tools/coverage-backup`.

## Sacrum and coccyx selection

The native source surface labelled Sacrum already included the coccyx in both
active atlases. `scripts/split-sacrum-coccyx.mjs` separates the inferior coccygeal
surface at the observed narrow sacrococcygeal junction. Both surfaces retain
the native coordinates, contour and scale. Matching planar caps close the shared
interface without additional bone volume or a second overlapping coccyx.
The interface is an educational segmentation estimate, not a patient-derived
joint cartilage model. Internal coccygeal segments are not individually selectable.
Source mesh references and the joint-plane record are in `audit/sacrococcygeal`.
The original BodyParts3D attribution and licence still apply to these derived meshes.
