# SomaLens experimental pharyngeal wall

Created 2026-09-29 with original GPT-authored mesh-building code. This is a
procedural educational model, not direct output from a GPT 3D generator,
not patient segmentation, and not clinically validated.

No Dundee mesh, texture, or downloadable 3D asset was copied or transformed.
No EPA or PLOS geometry was used in this constructed mesh. The references
do not endorse or validate the result.

The mesh uses native atlas landmarks for the tongue, soft palate, epiglottis,
and an actual contour of the superior esophagus. It forms a thin mucosal wall
around an open anterior passage, with a curved nasopharyngeal vault, restrained
lateral relief, and a taper into the esophagus behind the laryngeal entrance.
The upper respiratory and lower shared pharyngeal parts are cut from one
continuous shell, without duplicate overlapping full pharyngeal walls.

The shared lower part participates in both digestive and respiratory views.
The existing epiglottis and laryngeal airway remain separate atlas components.
Native BodyParts3D and adapted female-anatomy credits remain applicable to the
landmarks and surrounding structures; see ATTRIBUTION.md and
FEMALE-REFERENCE-CREDITS.md. Nasal geometry has separate provenance in
NASAL-MODEL-CREDITS.md.
