# Sensory supplement

Original SomaLens educational meshes: external acoustic canals, olfactory epithelial regions, olfactory bulbs and tracts, and representative fungiform, vallate and foliate papillae. Generated from anatomical landmarks and the current tongue/nasal surfaces. These are approximations, not segmented medical scans or validated patient anatomy. Existing source meshes remain unchanged.

Shared optic, olfactory, vestibulocochlear and selected mixed peripheral nerves are also visible in the sensory layer, retaining their original nervous-system classification. The tongue and nasal cavity retain their digestive/respiratory membership. Mixed nerves are not exclusively sensory nerves.

Microscopic taste buds, olfactory neurons, cochlear hair cells, skin mechanoreceptors and complete central sensory pathways are not represented by this supplement. Papillae are not taste buds and there are no exclusive taste zones.
